Donating to Animals & People Displaced by the Big Island Eruption

This summer, in partnership with Newco Distributors Inc., Calvin & Susie Hawaii Animal Foundation donated over 5,000 pounds of pet food to help animals and people displaced by the Kilauea Eruption. The aid shipment also included 150 respiratory masks for area residents, and 210 leashes. Distribution will be made through another non-profit organization, The Food Basket, Inc. - Hawai'i Island's Food Bank, via it’s Kilauea Lava Flow in Puna Aid Fund.

The donation is expected to reach animal welfare organizations helped by The FoodBasket, such organizations have included:

Bodacious Women of Nanawale – Puna Lava Flow 2018

Hawaii Red Cross – Keaau and Pahoa shelters

Our hearts go out to all the people and animals, our ohana, who have been impacted by the lave flow. We hope that our donation might provide them some comfort or relief. Our deepest gratitude to the organizations and individuals on the Big Island, working around the clock to save and rebuild lives.
